Westwinn Kennels is a full service kennel. We provide full boarding services for the special member(s) of your family.
Our canine friends enjoy a roomy private indoor run with an adjacent outdoor run. The indoor floor is heated so your dog stays toasty on even the coldest winter nights. We provide a large fenced grassy (or snowy) area for added exercise time. We encourage 'comfort' items from home such as a favorite bed, blanket, toy, ball or even an old shoe. Your dog is welcome to eat the food we provide but if for some reason your loved one is on a special diet, needs canned food or just doesn't tolerate a change in diet very well, you're welcome to bring your own. Please bring it in a container that can be closed. Fresh water is given all day. Treats and lots of love are all included.
Our feline friends enjoy an entire 10'x10' room with a window. We provide covered or uncovered litter boxes (whatever your kitty prefers), a scratching post, toys to stimulate and lots of love (only when they want it, of course!)
We feed our feline guests a dry kibble but if you wish to bring something else, you are welcome to do so.
We ask that ALL guests be leashed or crated from the car to the building.
For the protection of your pet as well as others you MUST provide written proof of the following vaccines:
Dogs: Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella
Cats: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia
Your vet can fax the vaccination info to us at 815-247-8553

We now carry a new line of pet beds that are stylish, durable and machine washable at a great price. New to our inventory is Sterling Silver dog breed jewelry for the dog lover in your family. It makes a great Christmas gift!
We have dog sweaters, lots and lots of toys (at a price much lower than the big pet stores). We are really excited about new product called Pill Pockets. If your dog or cat takes medication and you have a tough time getting him to take it, Pill Pockets are for you. They are a patented liver treat(for dogs) and salmon treat(for cats) designed to hold pills. Just drop the pills in the pouch and your pet never knows they're there. They are AWESOME and don't need refrigeration.
And if you like to dress your pet up for the holidays we have some really cute collars and leashes with snowmen on them. Your dog will look stylish (not ridiculous).
